Hi, I have a table with a field with a list of dates. I'd like to enter two user defined parameters that return a resultset to include the two dates entered and all the dates between. I don't have "greater than or equal to" or "less than or equal to" as an option in the condition box in the report wizard. Is this possible? I'm using MSAccess. Thanks in advance for any help....

Hi Ghost,

Thanks for the quick reply. That would be great if it could be included as it's something we need to use a lot! Meanwhile, is there any way around this?? Demanding customers you know...........:-)

Entirely seperately, I've seen some mention of PDF conversion and that it might be possible soon. Is there any timescale for this too? Demanding user....I know, I know.....:-)

Many thanks.

We haven't yet decided when but I am sure it is because we do not want to publish functionality that will cause more install and maintenance problems at this time.

We have just released version 2.4.256 (build 2.0.425) of the ASP Report Wizard. This version features several new properties and features including   two more optionas added to the report wizard's default filters - these include:
- Is Greater Than Or Equal To
- Is Less Than Or Equal To

Try it out and let me know if everything is working out fine.

Hi, thanks for that!!!! That is great quick service!

I'm not sure that I'm using this correctly though....when I create the report and select "greater than or equal to" for my date field and then "less than or equal to" for the same field I end up with four input boxes for dates and not two....If I just say "greater than or equal to" for the one field I end up with two input boxes....either way I get an error every time I try to run the report. To summarise I was hoping to be able to be able to query on "greater than or equal to" and "less than or equal to" for the same date field in order to get a date range. Can you advise please?

Again thanks for the quick response and please keep up the good work, this product is great!!

Scott.

Hi, I guess that the current version (2.0.0.430) still has some issues with dates? I just can't get any date function to work at all, even using "equal to" or "greater than" - I'm using MS Access.

Here is the error that I get:-

Syntax error in date in query expression '([Focused Revenue By Month].[InvoiceDate]>#13/08/2004)'.

I'm no expert but I thought that when querying dates in MS Access the date itself has to be surrounded in '#' ? For example #13/08/2004#     ?

For the above error the latter part of the URL is as follows:-
reports.asp?rid=xxxx&GetInvDate%23=13%2F08%2F2004
This gives the error described.

However, if I add '%23' at the end of this string it works....I guess in URL speak this is the missing '#' ??
So it becomes:-
reports.asp?rid=xxxx&GetInvDate%23=13%2F08%2F2004%23
This does give the correct result and returns all the records for that date.

Er...or maybe I'm getting confused now, I'm not sure!

Please advise,

Thanks,

Scott.
