scotthibbs![]() ![]() from: Philadelphia, PA | When we rollover the links, the longest report or table makes the page jump in a disturbing way. The table is too constrained and should have some extra space, so the browser does not behave like this.

scotthibbs![]() ![]() from: Philadelphia, PA | I believe that you are not specifying widths on the table you are dynamically building. So the browser will size the table to be just big enough to fit the longest data element in each column...that's it's default behavior. Since you are also doing a rollover effect...changing color and font size, the browser will resize the table on the rollover and move everything around on the screen. Our users found that to be distrurbing. I believe the solution is to allow for more space that the longest data represents. I believe cellpadding has something to do with that, but I usually just make my tables a fixed width that is large enough to accomodate the biggest data...and then a little more to accomodate the rollover effect. I tried to change the style sheet to stop the font size change, but for some reason, it did not seem to work.

ghost![]() ![]() ![]() from: Washington, DC | The main reports page has a Width parameter which is empty by default. Do you want to explicitly set the widths for the tables, views etc sections? P/S: please make sure there isn't another style/stylesheet on you HTML page that has a definition for links... ------------------------- Ghost

scotthibbs![]() ![]() from: Philadelphia, PA | Thanks....let me do a little experimentation on this one to be sure I know what is going on. I will post another reply when I am certain of the issue.

scotthibbs![]() ![]() from: Philadelphia, PA | Sorry...my mistake on that one. There was a conflict with the default system style sheet that is automatically added to the page.......I merged it with the sample you supplied and it's fine now.
