Dear AWS,

How do I add a display of the filter used to the print heading of a report?  I see a discussion of this function at http://www.aspwebsolution.com/forums/?tid=1624 , which concludes with you saying you've added this capability, but I see no documentation on how to actually do it.  What is the printheader entry to use for this?

Thanks,

Paul

The PrintHeader property is to set the report headers that will display when the user clicks on the Print button.
For more on the PrintHeader property, check the link below:

If you want your report to display the report filters, you will have to select the display filters option when adding filters to your report as shown in the image below:

Thank you for your response.  However, this is not the question I was asking.  I apologize for not being more clear.  Let me try again.

I don't want just to show a hard-coded filter (that's easy).  Rather, I want to show, for a filter that requests a user parameter, the parameter the user entered to generate the report.

In tid1524 of this forum (which I referenced), the same request is made:

"I want to show what the user entered in the filters to generate the report. For example: 1/2/2005 to 7/1/2005, when the filter requires a date range."

You responded:

"Will make sure this functionality is added by the next minor release."

But I can find no documentation how this is actually done.  I assume you added a printheader or printfooter entry.  What I want to know is, how exactly do I show the value the user entered (not just the name of the object or variable) in a report heading?

Thank you,

Paul
