scotthibbs![]() ![]() from: Philadelphia, PA | A data source requests a text column from the database that is in the format 0nnnnn....like "07123". A user wants to see the zero when he creates an Excel export. However, Excel notices that the column is all numeric and removes the zero. To try to correct this, we defined the formatting of the column as "Text Replacement", with a value of '#TEMP#. We see the single quote on the displayed report....the replacement works fine. When we export the report...with ANY export format, the single quote disappears......the text replacement does not seem to occur.

ghost![]() ![]() ![]() from: Washington, DC | The current version of the report wizard does not support TextReplacements when exporting datasets....For now adding this functionality is beyond any reasonable scope since we are trying to launch version 3 (beta 1) by the end of the month. Thanks ------------------------- Ghost

scotthibbs![]() ![]() from: Philadelphia, PA | We will hope that this will be corrected in the new version. For the time being, we will inform the users not to trust exports of data, as the export will not match what is visible on the web page.
