Ed Dwyer from: MIdlands. UK | Hi, Whilst my dates are showing correctly in European format DD/MM/YY in my reports, when exported in Excel they are being formatted in MM/DD/YY format. I am setting the .DefaultDateFormat = "DD/MM/YY" and even tried setting the field formats to Short Date (Non US) or Medium Dates but still no success. The format of the date fields in the MS SQL databses is small date/time. I am using the latest version of the program. Is is there something wrong with the export facility or do I need to be doing something additional? Thanks

ghost from: Washington, DC | The Locale (Session.LCID) in ASP does not seem to go beyond the web page (This is a known bug from Microsoft). We are still testing for other work arounds. Thanks for your patience. ------------------------- Ghost

jmc since: Feb 24, 2006 from: Gronsveld,Netherlands | Hello Outside US, I think that we are all waiting for a solution or work-around on this problem. It would be nice to give some higher priority to this issue. It is a real pain for these users wanting to upload data into excel. Thanks in advance.

ghost from: Washington, DC | We have come up with a solution which I hope is better than nothing. As of latest version v2.6.15, when exporting files to excel, the dates will be exported using the date format set by the user (in the wizard dialog screen) or in standard format (if nothing has been set) as YYYY-MM-DD which should be recognized by excel as a date field. Let me know if this helps. P/S: The export process might be a little slower because we have to validate the date format first before exporting. thanx for your patience! ------------------------- Ghost

Ed Dwyer from: MIdlands. UK | Hi, Sorry for the delay in replying. I have downloaded and tested the new version of the program and it works to some correctly to an extent. It now outputs the date in DD/MM/YYYY format and not YYYY-MM-DD format. The latter format would be most helpful with sorts etc. Is this something you can fix easily? You are right in that it does take a little longer to export to Excel but nothing significant. I also notice that you have changed the default Excel spreadsheet name to ASPWebSolution_Report.XLS. Is it possible to retain the orginal Report.XLS name from previous releases - this would help me too? Thanks for the effort you have put it. Regards.
