Hi
Have upgraded from v1 to v2 without problems (at least I thought so!!)
When users tried to create reports, the last proceedure (saving to reports.xml) could not be performed. If I removed the old reports.xml, all worked.
How can I reformat existing v1 reports.xml so that the reports can be reused in v2...I have a lot of users who do not want to be re-creating complex reports they made in v1

Hello Paul, here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Download and install the latest version of the report wizard v2.5.30
2. Download and install the installer package - ReportUpgrader Setup or  just download and run the executable file - ReportUpgrader.exe

3. When you run the ReportUpgrder  you should see a screen shot that looks like the following:

Report Upgrader

4. Browse and select your version 1 ReportsFile
5. Browse and select and output folder where you want the version 2 reports file to be created.
6. Click Ok
7. Your new reports file will be created in the output folder.
8. You can now copy this new file and use it  as your new reports file.

Note: Always create a backup copy of your old reports file.

Let me know if you have any problems.
