rickm since: Mar 9, 2005 from: London, england | Hi I have the same problem. I guess it is some kind of security issue. I am running Windows 2000 tho' not XP but I have same errors when I attempt to build a report. I had a problem creating the report.xml file from within the page. (I created it by hand and pasting in the header info). What is the entity/user that I need to give write permission to (ASPNET?, IISUSER?) I tried pretty well everthing suggested here both in IIS Manager and directly on the folder but no joy so far :-(

rickm since: Mar 9, 2005 from: London, england | OOPs! Well I fixed it. I only had write permissions set at the folder level. I needed to also set reports.xml write permissions. I still don't know what group/entity should have the write permission just to get it working I let 'everyone' write to this file. thanx if you can let me know what it should be Regards Richard
